This zippered pouch started as a vision for a birthday gift for my sister who is crazy about pickleball. I found the iron on patch at Michael's and the colors were perfect. I had some stash yarn to use that complimented the colors perfectly but the color transition didn't happen quite as quickly as I had hoped it would so I would cut the yarn, and pull the yarn until it got to the next color. I ended up with several balls of this yarn but I have ended up using it for different projects over the years. I think the key is don't let long color transitions discourage you from having a vision come to life. When crocheting, you creativity should lead the way.

Keep in mind that you cannot iron on to acrylic yarn as it will melt the yarn and ruin your project. The alternative is to use a strong bond fabric glue to attach it.

Crochet Essentials2 Pieces Knitting Counters, Knitting Needle Marking Tool, Plastic Knitting Stitch CounterI have tried these mechanical row/stitch counters and I really prefer them over the digital stitch counters. Amazon mostly sells digital counters and I don't love them. There isnt a replaceable battery so if I put down a WIP with its counter and don't pick it up in 3 months, I worry the counter is dead. In order to wake up the screen, you have to click the button but it is the same button that you click to add a row. I worry as soon as I push it to wake it up that I have also pushed it to add a row. The digital ones are much less expensive but I prefer these mechanical ones.
