Sparkly Chevron Tulip Bag
↓ Jump to Patterns & MaterialsI was recently gifted a beautifully sparkled ombre cotton blend yarn, and I just knew it had to become a bag. I was previously very intimidated by the chevron stitch, thinking it must be terribly difficult, but it turns out it isn't hard at all!
If you know how to do the basic granny square stitch, this project is surprisingly easy, especially when following the fantastic step-by-step tutorial that Sirin's Crochet has on YouTube. Watching those sparkly ombre colors shift and flow as the chevron peaks and valleys emerged was such a satisfying process.
I was also thrilled to learn how to crochet a Romanian Cord for this project. It is a fabulous, super sturdy, and beautiful strap option to add to any handmade bag. This piece turned out both functional and uniquely sparkling, and it won't be my last chevron make!
